What Is the Difference Between the Stuff Sack and the Armor Liner?
Both accessories are designed to make life with a Molly Mutt dog bed easier — but they do different things, and you can use either one on its own or combine them for maximum protection.
The mesh stuff sack is all about organisation. Instead of stuffing old pillows, blankets and clothes loosely into your dog bed cover, you pack everything into the sack first. This keeps the filling contained and evenly shaped, making it much easier to handle when it's time to wash or refill — just lift the whole sack out in one go. The mesh is machine washable, so the sack and all its contents can go straight into the washing machine together.
The armor water-resistant liner is all about protection. It fits over the stuff sack and under the bed cover, creating a waterproof barrier between your dog and the filling inside. A polyester cover over the zipper adds an extra layer of security, keeping everything inside clean and dry even during life's messier moments. When it needs cleaning, just wipe it down with a damp cloth — no washing machine needed.
Can I Use the Stuff Sack and the Armor Liner Together?
Absolutely — and for most dogs, we'd recommend it. The ideal setup is to pack your filling into the mesh stuff sack first, then slip the armor liner over the outside of the sack, and finally place the whole filling inside your dog bed cover. This way you get the best of both: a neatly contained filling that's easy to wash, plus full waterproof protection for the inside of the bed.
That said, both accessories work perfectly well on their own. If your dog is clean and dry and you just want easier washing days, the stuff sack alone is a great addition. If accidents are your main concern and you already have a system for managing the filling, the armor liner on its own will do the job.
What Size Accessory Do I Need?
